IS ANYONE OUT THERE?

I try to be faithful about my writing assignment, i.e., to write a blog entry here every Wednesday. But I'm not feeling the love, people! Is anyone out there? I know Sinclair is around, she has a new job and she isn't able to check in as often as before. I know the attic elf was here two posts ago. Anyone else? I hope so. We have something good going here. What can we do to garner more interest or more participation? Any ideas, peeps?

We are supposed to be working on an art journal. I must admit that I ordered mine but I haven't used it yet. I was disappointed in the size for the cost, but no matter, I should have done something in it by now. Alas, I have an excuse, we are moving to the beach. Now if my muse is silent there I will be surprised! I've just been busy ordering pots and pans, silverware, dishes, etc., etc. (We're setting up another household.) And a daughter is getting married June 26th and I've been trying to find a dress to wear and I have favors to make. So I have excuses, I'm sure we all do. It's a busy time of year! Our gardens beckon, our children and grandchildren are playing spring sports, etc., etc.

So, let's see if we can make a comment here now and then, do a page in your art journal soon, and be thinking about how we can get more participation, etc.

HAPPY SPRING!! (I think it might finally be here.)

This is the view from the deck of our beach home. It is also the view from the living and dining areas and the master bedroom.

  1. You are a busy lady! My DD's birthday is June 26th...bodes well for a happy wedding. :)

Maybe we could start a Flickr group for our art journals? Don't know if people would be interested in sharing (and, quite honestly, I don't have mine yet, but love the idea still), but anything to get people coming back to take a peek sounds good to me.

  2. I'm here! Trying to hold on and stay involved, but with work, my charity knitting, and some family here for the summer, I have hardly had time to keep the laundry done, much less do anything in the arena of creative pursuits. I do have my journal and I do plan to use it! I like the idea of a Flickr group. Would you like to start it, Atticelf, or would you like me to? I would be happy to start it, or equally happy to have a teammate start it...

Thank you Nancy for sticking with your Wednesday posts..and congrats on the move!! WooHoo!

  3. I'm here too, and I have to say, you all are so much busier than I, just I never seem to have enough time to write in a journal, let alone, try to think of new projects.
I have been working on some new felted bowls and such.
Nancy - love the view from your new house - I'm so jealous :D

  4. I'm new here and have been reading, but not commenting. I'm enjoying your blog and the other blogs you link to. I've been hoping for a challenge to inspire me to dig into my stash. I did get a couple containers for my seed beads this week and, in the process of organizing them, dug up some I didn't know I had....

  5. Hi Sandi and Kelley! Welcome to the group.

I went ahead and started a Flickr group for us called Etsy Hoarders Unite Team (very clever name, don't you think? LOL)

I made it public, invite only. I'm assuming I'll get a notification whenever anybody is interested in joining.

I've never administered one before so be patient with me. :)

    Thanks!
